Detailed introduction:

FRESHNESS PRESERVATION FRESHNESS PRESERVATION OF FRESH CUT FLOWERS & VEGETABLES

Keep fresh and high quality, extend shelf life and improve economic benefits

A major cause of senescence and decay in cut flowers and fresh produce is the release and absorption of ethylene gas. Ethylene is a naturally occurring plant hormone, commonly produced by certain fruits, vegetables and plants and by air pollution. At concentrations ranging from parts per billion (ppb) to parts per million (ppm), it can accelerate the ripening and aging of ethylene-sensitive products and cause detrimental effects on produce quality and shelf life, depending on the degree of ethylene Exposure time, ethylene concentration, storage temperature and humidity, etc.

The destructive properties of ethylene gas directly affect the economic benefits of fresh cut flowers, fruit and vegetable processing, storage and sales industries. The impact of ethylene on the quality of agricultural products is multifaceted. The more common harmful effects include promoting early ripening and softening of fruits, chlorosis of fruits, increased rate of fruit mold and rot, yellowing and shedding of vegetables, etc. Even in ethylene-insensitive Cymbidium, daily exposure to 0.3ppm ethylene accelerated petal discoloration, shortening the flowering period from 13 days to less than 2 days. Carnations are particularly sensitive to ethylene, and when the ethylene concentration is 0.01-0.08ppm, carnations will bloom early. The ethylene concentration of 0.1-0.2ppm ethylene will cause the petals of carnations to curl, the flowering quality will decrease within 16-24 hours, and the petals will be irreversibly wilted within 48 hours.

The proprietary SPHINX fresh-keeping technology can efficiently remove ethylene gas and effectively extend the fresh-keeping period and lifespan of fresh cut flowers, fruits and vegetables. The ability of SPHINX fresh-keeping technology to remove ethylene gas is five times that of other competitors. SPHINX adsorption filter material removes ethylene gas through chemical adsorption. The adsorption material reacts chemically with ethylene, and ethylene is converted into harmless solids and remains inside the filter material. Different from physical adsorption fresh-keeping technology and other fresh-keeping methods, SPHIX fresh-keeping technology can completely remove ethylene gas, without contact with fruits and vegetables, without residue, non-toxic, harmless, safe and environmentally friendly.
